I am sat here at my desk wondering why everything has to be so hard all the time. Already this morning I have had two things that have made me roll my eyes in exasperation and it is only 11.00! It has been the same for the last few days so I am going to catalogue my woes in a cathartic and cleansing manner (how very new age of me).
It all started last Tuesday morning, I get up, have breakfast, make packed lunch for K and I and then totter off into the bathroom to have a shower. I turn it on and the bloody thing didn't work. The water pressure was too low for it to run. I therefore have to have a strip wash and wash my hair over the sink. I rang the water company, to be told that no one has reported any problems and they will look into it.
Sunday morning, we have no water at all, call Uncle who comes up and says the water pressure has been too low to fill the tank in the roof, so still no shower and I am fed up of strip washing. Uncle informs us that his brother who lives up the street has been complaining too. I ring the water company again and they again say they have no record of any complaints including mine. Hmmmm......
Then I get to church, it was my turn to do the coffee and there are not enough cups. This makes me cross, I have to hunt around in the back of the cupboard to find some more, I just about get enough, the point is there should be some and someone had forgotten to buy them.
Sunday afternoon, Al has to do an online test for his company HGV insurance. We fill all the forms out he needs and then he settles down to do the test. No matter what configuration of the information we have been given is typed in, he can't get in.
This morning, I have a pre op assessment at the hospital for my eye operation, on the way, the water is still gushing down the hill from the leak that is causing the problems for our water pressure. Glad to see it has been fixed (not). Check up all goes well and it is all systems go, I go to Tesco to buy some salad stuff for lunch. I get my salad and my pepper and I am at the tomatoes when I discover mould growing over them...lovely.
To top it all, I get to work and I have a letter claiming we haven't paid a bill when we paid it back in December and it 'slipped through the net and we forgot to allocate it, sorry', Then I get an email saying a credit I have been expecting since last July has been raised and is attached, I open attachment and it is still wrong!
How is your day?
